We're looking for a Senior Account Executive based remotely in North America.

The role
The Senior Account Executive is responsible for driving enterprise growth through hands-on execution and disciplined deal ownership. This role is a senior individual contributor position, owning pipeline, closing complex enterprise deals, and converting qualified opportunities into ARR across both SurrealDB Cloud and the Enterprise Edition.
In addition to personal quota delivery, the Senior Account Executive plays a key role in shaping how SurrealDB sells to enterprise customers. This includes contributing to go-to-market refinement, sharing best practices, and helping establish repeatable sales motions as the company scales.
What you'll be doing
You’ll be responsible for driving new ARR in the US market by executing disciplined, technically credible sales cycles. You will:
- Own and close mid-market and enterprise opportunities in the US
- Run full-cycle sales processes from discovery through procurement and contract close
- Qualify opportunities rigorously and build clear close plans
- Work closely with Solutions Engineering and Customer Engineering to support evaluations, POCs, and production readiness
- Navigate technical, security, legal, and procurement stakeholders with confidence
- Convert PLG and inbound demand into larger production and enterprise deployments
- Maintain accurate pipeline hygiene, forecasting, and CRM discipline
- Provide structured feedback to Product and Engineering based on real customer conversations
- Represent SurrealDB professionally in customer meetings, events, and partner conversations
About you
We’re looking for someone who combines strong closing ability with technical credibility and a pragmatic approach to early-stage sales. You’ll have:
- Proven experience closing mid-market and enterprise software deals in the US
- A strong background selling developer-focused, infrastructure, or data platforms (e.g. databases, cloud services, dev tools, platform software)
- Experience running complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles with technical buyers
- Comfort working with engineers, architects, and platform teams as primary buyers
- A disciplined approach to qualification, forecasting, and deal execution
- The ability to communicate value clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working in a scaling startup or high-growth environment
- Comfort operating with autonomy, ownership, and minimal bureaucracy
- Experience selling databases, open-source software, or cloud-native platforms
- Familiarity with AWS-based deployments or cloud marketplaces
- Exposure to PLG-to-sales or hybrid sales motions
