Regional Vice President, Sales

POSITION SUMMARY
The Regional Vice President, Sales is responsible for procuring new relationships with financial institutions managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract close. We’re looking for a high-performing salesperson who can deliver the Savana value proposition and strategy while matching the prospects’ goals and objectives. This role is for a solution-oriented seller who understands the business and operational needs of banks and credit unions and can align them with Savana’s platform values. The chosen candidate will work closely with peers in business development (sales engineering, marketing, etc.) in order to ensure success.
LOCATION
Remote and hybrid option available
REQUIRED SKILL SETS
- 3+ years of experience selling financial services technology or 5+ years general B2B sales.
- A proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales quotas.
- Ability to manage an end-to-end sales cycle including prospecting, qualification, needs analysis, proposal, negotiation and closing.
- Possesses excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for business owners.
- Possesses strong ability to collaborate with team for sales success.
- Travel is essential for this position. The ideal candidate must be willing and available to travel 50-75%
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Experience in selling CRM and/or Digital Banking software is preferred.
- Existing relationships in the banking and/or credit union market is preferred.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The type of activities expected to be performed at this level include, but are not limited to:
- Research prospect accounts and market trends define needs analysis per deal.
- Follow sales processes to meet desired sales outcomes and identify improvements where and when required.
- Provide accurate and detailed pipeline and forecasting in CRM.
- Travel for in-person meetings with customers and partners and to develop key relationships.
- Conduct consultative discovery sessions to understand prospects challenges, strategic initiatives, and technical gaps.
- Collaboration with Sales Engineering and Sales Management to tailor objectives into demonstrations, RFPs and proposals per deal.
- Monitor prospect, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to company leadership team.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business is preferred; comparable work experience will be considered.
