About the Role
As the Sr. Compliance Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring that Island Technology’s products and services adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards. You will serve as a subject matter expert on federal compliance requirements, supporting the team in navigating complex regulatory environments and enabling successful engagements with government clients. Your expertise will help drive business growth while maintaining the highest standards of integrity and compliance.

Note: This position is 100% in-office at our Coppell, TX headquarters near Dallas (Monday through Friday). We believe collaboration and culture thrive face-to-face, and we can’t wait to welcome you to the team.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the primary compliance advisor to the Federal Sales team, providing guidance on federal regulations, contract requirements, and industry standards (e.g., FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST, CMMC, IL5).
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures specific to federal cloud activities.
- Review and support the preparation of proposals, contracts, and other documentation to ensure compliance with federal acquisition regulations (FAR/DFARS) and agency-specific requirements.
- Conduct compliance risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders (Sales, Legal, Security, Product, etc.) to ensure alignment on compliance matters.
- Monitor regulatory changes and emerging requirements, communicating updates and training the team as needed.
- Manage compliance and security aspects of third party contractors supporting federal cloud services and support
- Support audits, assessments, and responses to government inquiries or investigations.
- Foster a culture of compliance and ethical conduct within the Federal organization.
You might be a fit if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Public Policy, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, or legal roles, with at least 3 years supporting federal sales or government contracting in the technology or cybersecurity sector.
- Deep knowledge of federal regulations and standards (e.g., FAR, DFARS, FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST, CMMC, IL5).
- Working/hands-on knowledge in AWS cloud environments (Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform understanding helpful)
- Experience supporting cross-functional sales and technical teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- U.S. citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance may be required.
Bonus points if you have:
- Advanced degree (JD, MBA, or Master’s in a related field).
- Professional certifications such as CCEP, CIPP/G, CISSP, or similar.
- Experience with GSA Schedules, GWACs, or other federal procurement vehicles.
- Prior experience at a cybersecurity SaaS company.
- Existing federal security clearance.
